In order to carry out focused and extensive research on autism spectrum disorder, its causes, mechanisms involved in the disease and effective treatments for this disorder, the neuro-autism research group was formed in cooperation with the neurobiology research center and the neuroscience research center of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The final goal of forming this research group is to develop knowledge in the field of autism spectrum disorder by focusing on local risk factors, genetics of Iranian patients and effective treatments, and finally helping families affected by this disorder.
